Set Up a User Time Zone

The first time you log into Time and Expense with ESS, you are prompted to enter your local time zone. Depending on security settings, you may also be able to change your time zone setting in the future.

After you successfully log in for the first time, a time zone dialog box displays. Use the Time Zone drop-down to select a time zone and click Save.

If your security role lets you update your time zone, you can change it on either the Preferences or Employee Information screen. Even if you cannot update your time zone, you can still see it on these screens. System administrators can also update employees' time zones.

To change a time zone, complete the following steps:

  1. Perform one of the following actions:
    • To update your own time zone, click Preferences > Employee Information > General tab, and select the desired time zone from the Time Zonedrop-down list.

    • To update another employee's time zone, go to the Administration menu and click Users & Groups > Employee Information > Defaultstab. Click  Searchand locate the employee record.

  2. In the Time Zone Settings area, use the Time Zonedrop-down to select a time zone.
  3. Click   Save.
